There are many ways to scan documents and pictures to be paperless.  But, if you’re on the go and constantly have lots of paper to scan, you should consider a mobile scanner.  Yes, you can find an app to scan from your iPhone or Android, but if a mobile scanner will give you better resolution and is easier to scan multiple pages.
The Xerox Mobile Scanner is the best one I’ve reviewed.  Why? It’s small and lightweight at 1.5 lbs.  But, its best function is not needing any wires to connect to your computer.  It has an Eye-Fi SD card which allows your scans to be wirelessly sent to your computer or device.  You can charge the scanner via AC power adapter or USB cable.  It scans to JPG’s and PDF’s.

The scanner setup is easy and so is scanning documents.  Just place your sheet face-up and get ready to scan up to 300+ documents with the long-lasting battery.  You can retrieve your scans directly on your computer or just save them to the memory card to be used later.  Another nice feature is you can plug in a flash drive into the scanner’s USB port to save it there.

At $250, this mobile scanner is the best of its class.  It includes the Eye-Fi card as well as four software packages, focuses on organizing documents, scanning business cards, and OCR format conversions.  It’s not the fastest of the bunch, but you’re really not looking for a speed demon as this device is for portability and wire-free access.  You don’t have to be a scanner expert or computer pro to work with it which is another plus to go with this scanner.
