Why should I choose NYCH over the Apple store?

Unlike the Apple store, we are a service-first business that will repair your logic board and other parts first versus push part and computer replacements. Also, we work on all models not just the latest four years. Lastly, we carry genuine parts like Apple at lower rates.

Yes. We repair all Mac models — including ones Apple classifies as vintage or obsolete. If the logic board can be repaired at the component level, we can fix it. We turn away almost nothing.

Liquid damage typically voids Apple’s warranty, and AppleCare doesn’t cover it. So, typically, your Mac is voided once you’ve spilled liquid on it. But, you should verify. We specialize in spill-damaged Macs — cleaning, restoring, and repairing them. 

Significantly less on most repairs. Apple quotes full board replacements at $700–$1,000+. We repair at the component level, which typically costs one-third to one-half of Apple’s quote. You get an exact price after the free diagnostic — no obligation to proceed.

Yes. We offer onsite visits, but for computers that have no hardware issues. This is perfect for setups, email help, software issues, and other non-hardware requests. We can also connect remotely.

Upgrades are on a model-to-model basis. Older models allow for all parts to be replaced. Newer models may only allow for the logic board to be replaced. Stop in for a free diagnostic to get all your options. 

Come to us. We hear this regularly — especially on logic board failures and vintage models. We diagnose independently and will give you an honest assessment. In many cases, we can fix what Apple won’t touch.
