Had NYCH build and set up a custom PC at my home — full assembly, OS, all software. The whole experience was seamless and the machine is incredible.
Our email stopped working morning of a huge client meeting. NYCH sent a tech in 90 minutes, fixed Microsoft 365, set up two-factor auth while there. Absolute lifesavers.
FAQ
Questions We Get Every Day.
How long does an onsite visit take?
On average we see most visits run 1–2 hours, but could be longer for extensive issues, multiple requests, or complex tasks. Feel free ask the tech to provide an estimate while onsite.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are needed. Book online to guarantee your time slot — we confirm your booking right away and are available 7 days a week.
How do you handle billing and payment?
Rates are $150/hour for onsite visits unless you have enlisted in a managed IT service or special plan. The first hour is charged as a minimum. If extra time is needed beyond the first hour, it is prorated every 15 minutes at the same $150/hr rate. You will reserve your appointment by credit card. After your appointment, you’ll receive an emailed receipt with the processed charge.
What if you can't fix it during the visit?
Our clients are paying for our technician’s time and expertise — and we never charge for travel within Manhattan. That time and knowledge has real value, and in the vast majority of cases every issue or request is seen through to a resolution. If we diagnose the situation and the answer is a vendor issue, a recommendation to purchase a new device, a part that needs to be ordered, or a specialist referral — that guidance is the service. In the rare case you feel we genuinely fell short, we want to know. We’ll get on a call, understand what happened, and make sure we find the best path forward together.
Is there a minimum visit time or charge?
Our standard rate is $150/hour with a one-hour minimum. Flat rates are provided only for special projects like network cabling, new office setups, or for clients on a managed IT service plan.
My computer won't turn on — can you come onsite?
If your device won’t power on, has physical damage, or needs hardware repair — please come to our Repair Depot at 53 E 34th Street, Floor 3, Midtown Manhattan. Onsite visits are for powered-on, functioning machines only.
Can you help set up a new office from scratch?
Absolutely. We handle full new office setups — network infrastructure, workstation deployment, email configuration, printer setup, and more. We’ll scope the project and give you clear pricing upfront.
Do you travel outside Manhattan?
Yes — Brooklyn, Hoboken, Astoria, LIC, and the Bronx at standard rates (15–20 min out). Locations approaching 1 hour may require a travel fee or half/full-day project minimum. Book online or reach out to discuss.
Do you offer a service guarantee or warranty?
We stand behind every visit. If a completed fix stops working or you feel a visit genuinely missed the mark, reach out. We’ll talk through it, understand what happened, and do right by you — whether that means a follow-up visit, a different approach, or an honest conversation about what’s realistic.
What's the difference between periodic visits and Managed IT?
Periodic visits are scheduled maintenance check-ins (monthly or quarterly). Managed IT is full coverage — helpdesk, monitoring, security, and onsite visits in one flat monthly fee with a dedicated account manager.
What software issues can you fix onsite?
Microsoft 365, Outlook, Gmail, QuickBooks, Adobe, Teams, Zoom, VPN, OneDrive, Dropbox, browsers, antivirus, OS issues, and more. If it’s a software or configuration problem, we fix it at your desk.
Can you build a Custom PC at my home or office?
Yes — we do build custom PCs onsite. We do charge a custom PC specialist fee at $250/hr here, as our specialist needs to travel from our Repair Depot to your location. Reach out and we’ll spec a build for you.
Do you work on both PCs and Macs?
Yes — we service both Windows PCs and Macs onsite. Software issues, email setup, network configuration, peripheral setup, and more are all handled for any make or model.
Do you help with cybersecurity and virus removal onsite?
Yes. We handle malware and virus cleanup, ransomware response, endpoint protection setup, and security policy deployment — all performed onsite at your home or office so your systems stay protected.
