What exactly is included in the Cyber Security Plan?
Everything digital security-related, under one flat monthly fee: unlimited virus, spyware, malware, and ransomware removal; anti-virus, firewall, and VPN; patch management and automatic OS/software updates; browser extension security; content filtering; unlimited remote support; and monthly security reports emailed to you.
Setup is complimentary — we install and configure everything for you. No extra charge.
Will this slow down my computer?
No — that’s the key difference. Traditional antivirus installs a full software suite directly on your machine, consuming RAM and processing power. Our solution is cloud-based: the security stack lives on our servers, not yours. Your computer stays fast while getting better protection than most software-only solutions.
Where is service performed — do I need to come in?
The Cyber Security Plan can be set up and serviced in two ways — whichever works best for you:
Remotely: Our technicians remote into your computer to install, configure, and service everything without you leaving your desk. Virus removals, updates, and security fixes all happen this way.
In person: You can also come into our repair center at 53 E 34th St, Floor 3, New York, NY 10016 and we’ll handle the setup and any ongoing service directly.
Note: the plan does not include on-site visits to your location.
Can I add this onto my existing Tech or Custom PC Plan?
Yes — and we strongly recommend it. The Tech Plan covers hardware and OS repairs. The Cyber Security Plan covers digital threats. Together they give you complete top-to-bottom protection. Each plan is billed separately at its own monthly rate, and you can combine them on the same device.
Think of it this way: Tech covers what breaks physically. Cyber covers what attacks digitally.
What happens after Year 1? Is my rate locked in?
Yes — your rate is grandfathered in. Even when our prices increase in the future, your $25/month rate stays locked for as long as you remain a member. After Year 1, your plan rolls over automatically — monthly or annually depending on which term you chose. You may cancel after Year 1 by emailing support@newyorkcomputerhelp.com or calling (212) 599-0339.
Does this cover phones, tablets, and other devices?
Yes — the Cyber Security Plan can cover computers, phones, tablets, and other devices. Each device is billed at the same $25/month rate. If you’re protecting multiple devices, ask us about our Company/Fleet Plan for volume pricing.
What’s the difference between the Cyber Plan and the Security Compliance Plan?
The Cyber Security Plan ($25/mo) provides complete proactive protection for individuals and small businesses — virus removal, firewall, VPN, monitoring, and more.
The Security Compliance Plan ($50/mo) includes everything in the Cyber Plan plus advanced compliance monitoring, audit-ready documentation, data loss prevention (DLP), and policy enforcement — designed for regulated industries like healthcare, finance, and legal that have specific compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, etc.).

I already have antivirus software — do I still need this?
Most standard antivirus software is reactive — it only responds after a threat is detected, and it runs heavy software directly on your machine that slows it down. Our plan is different:
- Cloud-based — zero performance impact on your computer
- Proactive monitoring — threats are caught before they execute
- Real technicians — not just automated software
- Includes VPN, patch management, content filtering, and dark web monitoring
- Unlimited virus removal — no per-incident charges ever
If you currently have standard antivirus, we’d typically replace it with our solution — which gives you more coverage at a predictable flat monthly rate.
What if I get a virus while on the plan — what happens?
Contact us and we’ll handle it — at no extra charge. Virus and malware removal is unlimited under the plan. We’ll remote in, remove the threat, restore your system to full health, and tighten up anything that allowed it through. Our monitoring also proactively catches most threats before you even notice them.
Is there a minimum commitment? Can I cancel?
Yes — there is a 1-year minimum term. After Year 1, your plan continues month-to-month or annually (depending on the term you chose) and you can cancel at any time by emailing support@newyorkcomputerhelp.com or calling (212) 599-0339.
The 1-year minimum reflects the setup and onboarding work we do upfront to get your security stack fully configured and running.
