If you’re looking for a phone that can do it all, look no further with the Android 2.0. For all the phones that lack a good keyboard (iPhone anyone?) and phones that look a big, fast Internet (Blackberry anyone??), the Android takes care of all of those challenges.
Here are a few notable features for the Android 2.0:
- Huge 3.7″ bright, crisp screen
- Real keyboard
- Phenomenal verbal, turn-by-turn GPS directions
- Fast Internet surfing
- Exclusive Verizon-carrier which is great for New Yorkers
Overall, Google’s operating system, Android 2.0, is definitely a big contender for the iPhone. It also provides approximately 10,000 apps to download, which although is 90,000 less than the iPhone, it is still a lot to play with. The Motorola has come out first with Google’s OS and there will be many other phones that will produce with OS later next year. For $200 and a 2-year term with Verizon, this is a phone worthy of checking out, especially if you’re not too keen with the Blackberry or iPhone. The tech support for the device is yet to be determined since it’s too early. Plus, the one challenge is if the Android will be able to support iTunes for the iPhone die-hards and if it supports Microsoft Exchange for the Blackberry die-hards.
