The Flip has the been the video craze since it came out in 2007. Now, it will come out with 2 new versions: Ultra II and theUltra HD. The Ultra II has 4GB at $150 while Ultra HD has 8GB and records for high definition playback, listing at $200.
The good: It’s tiny! The Flip is the size of a digital camera. You can carry it like a phone and take it out when you feel the nee.
The bad: It is susceptible to file loss. The flip is after all a hard drive with a USB connection. If it drops, your videos are in danger. In contrast, the larger video cameras have mini DVDs and other media holding your videos. The flip can hold up to 8GB of videos which translates to 6-7 hours worth. That means you can lose almost a days time of precious moments if your internal hard drive fails.
