The iPhone 4G will be released June 24, 2010 and pre-orders start June.  Is is the iPhone 4G worth buying?

Yesterday, Steve Jobs hyped up the new iPhone 4G at the Apple WWDC 2010.  This new phone will include a whole new operating system, the iOS4.  What else does it have?  Let’s check out the below new, improved specs so we can judge together if it cuts the mustard (I just love saying that.  If you’re not sure what that means, read the cut the mustard test info.

IPhone 4G specs:

  • 24% thinner
  • Bigger battery – 40% more talk time
  • Multitasking – keep e-mails open while you play an app.
  • 32 – 64GB of storage – the iPhone 3G only has up to 32GB
  • Unified mailbox option – view all your e-mail accounts in one inbox if you choose.
  • Hi-Def  Camera (5 megapixels) with flash
  • Hi-Def Video – create high-def movies  and even edit them and set them up on iMovie all on your phone
  • Hi-Def Audio
  • Built-in GPS – find a nearby restaurant wherever you are, or get directions
  • Better Resolution at 960 x 640 – some computers can’t reach this video level
  • Front Camera – you can make video calls instead of phone calls with Facetime

Here’s the revolutionary wow feature:  First, you can have a video chat on your phone.  This will be from the front camera.  Then, while video chatting, you can show your friend or family member where you are by taking a video with the back camera.  Amazing!  You can really connect as if you were in the same room with the 2 cameras.

The price with a 2-year AT&T contract is only $200 for a 16GB model.  This is definitely the time to get the new iPhone due to its reasonable cost and features.  If you don’t want to use it as a phone, get it for its video and music features!  The tech support end of it is simple, and you can even have an Apple specialist answer questions before you buy.
