Laptops are great.  They’re light, fast, and just work.  Wait, what, it’s not working now?  It’s not powering up you say?  That’s not good.  That’s just plain frustrating.

You’re not a brain scientist, but you’re savvy, at least you have a little confidence in your do-it-yourself skills.  So, are there a few tricks to be performed?  Anything that can power up your laptop again?

Yes, you can try a few non-tech laptop service tricks to see if it may help.  Try these steps first:

  1. First, try another outlet.  Maybe you have a bad outlet.
  2. Second, make sure your charger is secure in the laptop port.
  3. No luck? Remove the battery, unplug the charger, hold down the power button for 10 seconds.  Then, plug the charger in without the battery and power on.

This little trick on the third step could be your saving grace.  Hope it works for you if you have a laptop that doesn’t power on.  If not, well, it’s time to escalate your efforts to a laptop repair service company.
