Is your iPhone glass shattered from a drop? Or have you had an iPhone glass replacement before? Our Apple support crew has received info that Apple is now looking to patent its iPhone with shatter-proof glass. Glass that doesn’t shatter? Sounds ambitious.
Apple is currently working on a shock mounting cover glass which acts as a layer of absorption between the glass on the iPhone hardware. If the iPhone falls, the in-between glass will absorb the shock, protecting the outer layer glass. Along with this patented Apple technology, there will also be a sensor that will indicate if there has been an iPhone drop. This will prepare the shock mount for impact.
I am all for this patent as it will relieve a lot of iPhone users, knowing a simple drop won’t damage their phones. Plus, you won’t be compelled to use a bumper or case which I think takes away from the beauty of your phone. If your iPhone still has glass damage with or without this technology, you can get your iPhone fixed at a local NYC iPhone repair shop. The Apple store still doesn’t fix shattered glass iPhones. So, you will have to seek out an iPhone repair service.
