The iPhone is coming in the summer; in September; in October, yatta, yatta, yatta. Now, the Apple support folks have come out with an actual date: October 4th. But, don’t get your hopes up just yet. This date is to talk some more!
Apple has sent an invitation to tech support journalists to meet them at their Cupertino campus to talk about when the iPhone 5 is coming out. Specifically, the invite reads “Let’s talk iPhone.”
I have to tell you I’m a little fed up with the constant rumor mill from the Apple genius crew. Enough already! Just give a date already. I’m starting to think the hidden date trick is not an advertising spectacle, but more of the Apple engineers not having the iPhone 5 ready for the public. My worry is that, once again, there will not be enough iPhones to go around in the Best Buys, Apple Stores, and other Apple-friendly stores.
In any case, let’s see what Apple has to say on October 4th with the rest of the world.
