Our computer repair shop has seen many failing HP Pavilion notebooks.  So many that our Windows technicians sometimes see 20 broken down HP Pavilions before seeing another type of laptop.  We define broken down as having a hardware malfunction, specifically a failed motherboard.  After almost a year of giving the sad diagnostic to customers that their motherboard has failed and that it just makes more sense to buy a new computer due to the motherboard’s exorbitant cost, we finally have a breakthrough.

HP is now offering a limited warranty that will repair these bum motherboard HP’s.  Here’s how it works:

You are eligible for the HP limited warranty (even if your warranty has lapsed) if you have:

  1. One of the following: HP Pavilion dv2000 / dv6000 / dv9000 or Presario V3000 / V6000 series
  2. A purchased laptop from North America
  3. A warranty expiration within 2 years
  4. One of the following issues: no wireless detected as an adapter; no video; no power; doesn’t start; battery doesn’t work

If you qualify, HP will provide free shipping and you will receive 90 days warranty on your limited warranty repair.  Your repair will take within 10 to 14 business days to complete.  To schedule your limited warranty repair, call up HP at 866-671-7362.
