The last couple of weeks, it’s been cold enough to require gloves outside. When I would get a call on my iPhone, I would have to remove my gloves to use it. The iPhone doesn’t recognize any input from my rugged gloves. This was starting to get annoying because my phone calls became less enjoyable outside as I was fighting off frostbite. The worst was emailing with my frozen fingers as it took a good 5 minutes to warm them up after in my gloves.
Finally, I found the solution! No more winter blues with my iPhone. So, I bought E-volve touch-gloves. What are they? They include capacitive tips for your thumb, index, and middle finger, the most common fingers used for the iPhone and the iPad. They are black and definitely warm for the icy winter. Best of all, they only go for $9. I really expected to a pay a premium for this support technology, but I found out I’m a latecomer on this one.
Many other glove companies, such as Timberland and Isotoner, have brought some stiff competition, lowering the price. Apparently, the high-end glove companies haven’t figured out how to properly create a glove with the touch-screen fingers. Isotoner, for instance, doesn’t have good touch sensitivity, requiring hard touching on for iPhone support or iPad support.
