Have you ever tried shutting off your PC and it just won’t turn off right away due to running programs in the background? You’ll get a message saying you have programs still running and do you want to end them now. But, it always seems like the programs hang and shutting down your computer takes forever.
Now, you can end the waiting by doing a couple easy steps. Here’s the fastest way to shut down your PC:
- Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete simultaneously
- Then, Alt-T
- Click down arrow->Shift-down arrow together. You’ll see all the programs highlighted in the windows.
- Finally, press Alt-E->Alt-F and X to close Task Manager
If all those steps seem more for a tech support guru or PC expert, then just go to Start-Shut down and wait for your PC to end all the background programs. You shouldn’t just press the power button or tell your system to quit the programs unexpectedly or you may receive a blue screen of death.
