Where are my files?  That’s a common freaked-out question by new Windows 8 users.  When you look at the desktop of a Windows 8 computer, there’s absolutely nothing!  No files, docs, photos, you name it.  No access to your Documents folder or programs.

So, what’s the easiest way to get to your files on a Windows 8 computer?

1. Press Windows key + C to bring up the Charms bar.
2. Click Search
3. Type Documents or another file name you’re looking for.  Your files will then show up.

No need to be a Windows 8 expert or PC guru.  This is the quickest way to access your files.
