Typing on an iPhone is an acquired art like getting used to a fine wine. Typing on an iPad is more like learning a whole new language. Your fingers will have to move in an awkward, flared-out position to reach all of the keys. It’s certainly not made for the average hand like your keyboard is. There is absolutely nothing ergonomic about the iPad keyboard.
Until now. There’s an easier way to type. You just have to know how where to go.
Here’s how to type easier on the iPad:
- Go to an email, Internet page, or anywhere else where you can start typing on the keyboard.
- You’ll see the keyboard icon on the bottom-right of the keyboard. Push and hold it.
- Select Split so you can type with your thumbs that you’re used to doing like on your iPhone.
- You may also Undock the keyboard so it floats on the screen with you so you may see text and images easier. This is a function you will love or hate.
You don’t have to be an iPad expert, Apple support genius, or iOS 6 guru to master the iPad keyboard. Just follow the above steps and you’ll be well on your way.
