Chrome is quickly becoming the Internet Browser of choice for fast Internet surfing. Internet Explorer is secure, but it can get slow due to lots of add-ons and toolbars. Chrome has add-ons too, but seems to have a faster zip to it although adequate computer security is built-in.
However, you can never to be safe when on the Internet so I’d like to pass along an effective ad blocker to use while in Chrome. I recommend going with Adblock Plus. This pop-up blocker blocks ads, pop-ups, and annoying image ads in the background. It even goes a step above to disable video-ads on Youtube. If Adblock Plus sounds familiar, it is. It has been used with Firefox and actually has been the most popular browser extension in the world with over 100 million downloads.
Why use an ad blocker? Internet Explorer already has a built-in ad blocker while Firefox and Chrome really don’t. There are built-in security measures in their browsers, but not an actual blocker. This type of blocker could potentially protect against computer viruses and spyware from infecting your computer.
