Last year, the Apple technician lost the iPhone 4 prototype. Yesterday, it was leaked that an iPhone 5 prototype was missing and almost recovered. Another bar and another irresponsible Apple genius was the story here. Of course, it happened to be at a tequila lounge, Cava 22, in San Francisco. I’d lose my phone too from too many margaritas!
The Apple support security crew took stronger measures this time to track down their coveted iPhone. Apple contacted the San Francisco police to notify them of their lost treasure. Then, Apple was able to electronically track down its phone to a Bernal Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. They questioned a mid-20’s guy who’s lips were sealed. A later search showed he didn’t have the phone. He wouldn’t even give any info after Apple offered a large, unknown sum.
After Apple’s witch hunt, it was rumored that the iPhone 5 prototype was sold for only $200 on Craigslist! I cringe when hearing that as I hope that’s not true. It should have sold for much more! Wherever this iPhone is, the iPhone tech folks really need to keep better tabs on their iPhones, or at least their iPhone prototype techs.
