You probably all heard about how the iPhone 4G was left behind in the Redwood City bar. How about another lost iPhone 4G?! That’s right – a Vietnamese company, Taoviet.vn, has reported they have the 4G iPhone in their possession.
When asked how they got it, they responded it was bought in the U.S. by a Vietnamese businessman together with an iPad. Very suspicious especially since iPads are not sold with the 4G phone yet. Wait a minute, 4G iPhones are not even being sold yet. Very, very suspicious!
Let’s move past the suspicious storyline so we can discuss the self-indulgent glossy, leaked pics of the new iPhone 4G. This iPhone is definitely a test phone as it displays phone info on the bottom right in white text, such as: 24% battery life, firware diagnostics status, and hardware tests. It also shows a cool fireball effect with Inferno as its name on the screen.
The sleekness of the future iPhone is very cool. No screws are on the bottom of the unit and it is thinner and curvier than the current 3GS model. The iPhone has been torn down, bit by bit, by the Vietnamese company to discover that the processor is Apple branded although our skeptical Apple technicians think that it’s manufacturered by another company, but stamped by Apple.
Now it’s time for Soapbox chatter… We believe this another way for Apple to get added to the rumor mill. They havebeen notorious for leaking future products. It adds to their mysterious appeal. Whether they have slippery-handed Apple experts or purposely leave prototypes behind is tough to tell. Whatever the case, it is pretty obvious that they intend to showcase their products by first leaking them to the public. It is getting kind of old, don’t you think? I can’t believe we’re even reporting about this!
