Should I buy an Android? I answer with a resounding NO! There are so many tech issues with the Android that I’m not sure where to begin.
Here’s my top complaint technology issue list with the Android:
- Too many settings. Sure, it’s cool to be able to share pics over Wi-Fi with other Androids. But, it takes 4-5 button presses to get there. Way too many navigational options!
- Google Play is not all it’s cracked up to be. No content from Warner, one of the four major music labels, and the selection overall is not close to what iTunes provides.
- Lack of accessories. It’s all about the image with smartphones so what’s the fun if you don’t have cool cases, battery life extenders, or zoom adapters.
- Watch out for computer viruses. The Android open system leaves it vulnerable to malware that may be hidden in fake apps.
- Apps? What apps? Developers are still releasing more apps for Apple support and the iOS. When apps are released for the Android, they are typically second-choice releases which feels like hand-me-down quality.
The iPhone is still king and the Android doesn’t come close. So, if you have an Android, switch! If you don’t have one, don’t get one!
